The LA Galaxy vs. LAFC Season Opener takes place on Tuesday, July, 4, and there will be fireworks! The LA Galaxy’s postponed match against LAFC has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 4, at the Rose Bowl Stadium.

Originally scheduled for Feb. 25, the LA Galaxy’s match against LAFC was rescheduled due to safety considerations resulting from inclement weather and forecasted thunderstorms in the Los Angeles area. Tickets originally purchased for the Feb. 25 original match date between the LA Galaxy and LAFC will be honored for the rescheduled match date on July 4.

Key Timing:

  • 1:30 pm: Parking Lots Open and Shuttle Operations Begin
  • 2:30 - 6:30 pm: FanFest
  • 5:30 pm: Gates Open
  • 7:30 pm: Match Begins
  • Post-Game: Fireworks Show

FREE SHUTTLE

Shuttle service provides express service to-and-from the Parsons Engineering Complex, 100 West Walnut Street, in Old Pasadena to the Rose Bowl Stadium, Lot B. For the July 4, soccer match between the LA Galaxy and LAFC service will be FREE  of charge, and begin at 1:30 pm continuing for approximately 90 minutes following the conclusion of the match. Park in Old Pasadena and avoid the traffic.  Grab a bite pre-event at one of our 100+ restaurants and cafes.  Visit our Dining directory and use the filters to find just what hits the spot pre-game.  

Ready for some fun stats:  In 17 all-time matches played across all competitions of El Tráfico, the Galaxy lead the all-time series 7-5-5. In nine all-time home matches played across all competitions against LAFC, the Galaxy hold an unbeaten record of 7-0-2 (21 GF, 11 GA). The LA Galaxy played their first-ever MLS regular-season match at Rose Bowl Stadium in a 2-1 win over the New York/New Jersey MetroStars on April 13, 1996. In 107 all-time regular-season and playoff games played at Rose Bowl Stadium, the Galaxy hold a combined record of 86-32-9 record (.713 win percentage).
