Pasadena Senior Center has been selected as a host venue for this spring’s City of Pasadena’s ArtNight, this year set for Friday, March 14 from 6:00 - 10:00 pm. This marks the second year that PSC is participating in ArtNight, alongside the Art Center College of Design, the Jackie Robinson Community Center, the Armory Center for the Arts, and local museums.

For the event, the Center will once again team with MUSE/IQUE, the celebrated music non-profit organization, to offer live music, photography and watercolor exhibits, facility tours, a food truck and other activities during the evening.

With a theme celebrating MUSE/IQUE’s 2025 season, ‘Make Some Noise,’ ArtNight at the Pasadena Senior Center will feature two musical performers, Francisco Ruiz and Rachel Gonzalez, who will rotate each half hour throughout the evening at PSC’s Scott Pavilion.  Francisco Ruiz is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and three-time Latin Grammy nominee who will be performing in his original and versatile style that transcends cultural and language barriers. Also performing is singer-songwriter Rachel Gonzalez, a Los Angeles native, who offers soul-driven melodies & intentionally honest storytelling, accompanied by her acoustic guitar.

ArtNight Pasadena is a free evening of art, music, and entertainment as Pasadena’s most prominent arts and cultural institutions, who partner with the City for the event. For a city of fewer than 140,000 residents, Pasadena has a significant number per capita of museums, art schools, music conservatories, live theaters, galleries, concert halls, and dance performance venues.

Visitors to the PSC on ArtNight can also view special photography and watercolor exhibits with works created by PSC members. What’s more, The ‘Tropic Truck’ food truck will be on hand at the Pasadena Senior Center that evening, offering a variety of ‘Cali-Carribean’ grilled seafood and meats to guests. The City will offer free hop-on/hop-off shuttles between ArtNight locations that evening as well.

MUSE/IQUE is a member-supported, nonprofit performing arts organization making radically engaging live music experiences accessible for all. Built on a tradition of community and collaboration, we create events that feature an eclectic mix of artists and artistic disciplines in unconventional locations—spaces where art typically does not happen. MUSE/IQUE creates transformative musical adventures and illuminates the music that shapes our lives. By reimagining the traditional format of the live classical orchestral experience, Artistic Director Rachael Worby seamlessly blends musical performances with researched curation.

For 65 years, Pasadena Senior Center’s mission has been to improve the lives of older adults through caring service with opportunities for social interaction, fitness programs, basic support and needs services, education, volunteerism and community activism. With 10,000 Americans per day becoming older adults, the center is a leader in addressing issues of aging and provides innovative, cutting-edge, nationally recognized programs for this population group.

As a donor-supported nonprofit, the center operates without any local, state or federal funding and provides more services to older adults than any other organization in the San Gabriel Valley. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. To learn more visit www.PasadenaSeniorCenter.org or call 626-795-4331.
